Our Nottoway lantern is spectacular. It is just the detail we wanted for our front porch. The only negative is that the instructions were not super clear, but we managed and that is hardly much of a downside considering the quality of lanter. We are very pleased.

Called with problem with my lanterns. Come to find out, we had burners for natural gas and it was creating a major spot problem. The staff quickly recognized the problem and made to recommendation to get burners for LP gas. Problem solved and we now have clean burning lanterns.

The problem was my city inspector would not clear the lantern gas valve because it was copper. This caused a huge problem and frustration for me and my gas plumber. My plumber came up with a way to install a separate metal valve. Doesn’t look as good but works

I was less than thrilled with the quality of a $670 hanging lantern from Primo. Firstly, it’s next to impossible to conceal the gas line along the housing, which is a little bit of any eye sore. There isn’t any adjustment that allows the consumer to tighten the mount points while ensuring the lantern is aligned with the house. If the mounts are screwed tightly, then the lantern is at an angle to the house. This also goes for the flame tip, which comes in two pieces. Aligning the flame tip, gas valve, and routing the flare fitting such that it is straight and tight is impossible. If the gas valve is aligned to the front, which is how it should be, the flair fitting on the bottom is directed to the front, but the pre-installed 3/16” tubing is in the back. I’ve tried several times to attach pictures but always gave errors processing.

I found the product to be of good quality, but the finish was substandard. I purchased for the antigue copper. The lanterns antique copper is stripey with definate green lines, streaks. I therefore wanted to return, but found the return policy of 25% restocking fee to be excessive for a product I was unable to view in person before purchase. Over 300$ to place already boxed product back into inventory is excessive. Therefore, I will be keeping product until I find something I like to replace it.

This was a big purchase for us and I was very nervous, but it has been well worthwhile.

Our French Market Lanterns are incredible! We purchased 2 wall-mounted gas lanterns with a black copper finish. They arrived in less time than we expected and they were packaged incredibly well to ensure no breakage, damage, etc. They were stunning right out of the box and look even better now that they are installed on our porch on both sides of our entry door. The installation was super easy and we are very appreciative of the high quality of the gas lights. Very satisfied with my purchase of PRIMO Copper Lanterns. Did ask some questions that were quickly answered by customer service before ordering. Delivery was made within a week whereas most retailers were saying 4-5 weeks. One Lantern had a broken glass panel and one was missing a hinge pin. I contacted customer service and they promptly had parts sent for me to install. The lanterns look great and I ordered some gas flame-like bulbs to add more of desired look.

Easy ordering process, quick shipment and delivery, and my items arrived in perfect condition. I’ll be ordering from this company again.

The lanterns themselves look great. However, the three that I ordered were all slightly damaged. Bent frames, or incompletely assembled. The glass panes were not held in place by the thin sheet metal brackets at the top and bottom in all three lanterns. I needed to carefully bend the metal so as to snug up the glass. The glass was held in place during shipping with styrofoam inserts, which I believe helped to avoid damage to the glass. I needed to bend the outer shell in several places, but due to timelines of plumber scheduling and the fact that these took several weeks to deliver, I decided to keep them and look past the irregularities. They are a fantastic addition to the home, however, are overpriced excessively for the delivered product.

I have not installed the lantern yet and it is pretty but was disappointed to see that this was made in China. This was not indicated anywhere on their website that I saw.

Would be 5 stars if it wasn’t made in china, very disappointed in that would have paid more for American made

Time will tell, but first impressions are that the lanterns appear well constructed, were easy to install and look as beautiful as we hoped they would.

Once I got through, the service was fine; however, it took me over 4 tries to get help. Called, left messages but never received a call back. I needed glass replacements and the website didn't offer parts. I tried making the glass but that failed. I made one last attempt to get through and lucked out getting ahold of someone.

I bought a flame imitation light bulb which was either defective or not suitable. I assume it was defective. They wanted a restocking fee. I called and they said I would get an RMA to ship back but I never got one. I was going to buy some lighting but not now.

Ordered a Georgetown hanging lantern in copper and shipping was very quick. It unfortunately arrived damaged and the company worked quickly to have the damaged one returned at their expense and a new one sent. Had the replacement in less than a week. The lantern looks like really nice quality and can’t wait to get it installed. Even better is how well the company handled the replacement. Will be ordering more lights from them very soon.

The coppersmith brand lanterns I purchased fit the design where they are installed perfectly Ordering and delivery cannot be faulted BUT. For the premium price point paid I should not have had to finish the incompletely installed glass nor should I have received a product of CHINA. All of the inferences from Coppersmith were of an American made product. Very disappointed to say the least

When I called to place the order for my lanterns (7) the customer service person was helpful and pleasant. I tried to call back multiple times to get installation questions answered for my builder and no one answered the phone. I went to voicemail and no one ever called me back.

I ordered one lantern from French Market. Still didn’t get it after over 12 weeks. Called the real manufacturer, Flambeau gas lanterns and had it the next week. Did not know French Market is an intermediary, NOT the manufacturer. Internet aggregator. They kinda left that part out. Go direct, you’ll have the lanterns you want in 8 weeks and they are cheaper too!! Much happier

No assembly instructions - only came with light up instructions.

FANTASTIC!!! I chose the Weiyan lamp option and was skeptical of how it would look. It is VERY realistic and gives a beautiful hue to the entry. Do not exect it to be bright. I supplemented the lanterns with low voltage walk lighting on the walk to get the total illumination I wanted. The lanterns are great products.

These copper lanterns are excellent quality and very attractive. The post mount is deeper and better quality than other lantern companies offerings. The mounts are also more secure since the require a wrench to remove. Customer service is very responsive and quick to resolve issues.

I am a builder. I ordered to French Market gas lanterns. Received the first one in several days. Great. The second one never arrived. Called customer service and had to leave a message. They called back and said the problem was with the shipper and it was my responsibility to contact the shipper. The two laters are to be mounted on each side of a entrance to a new high end residence. Without a matching pair nothing is viable. I am out of recourses and can’t find a solution. UPS does not communicate.

Beautiful lantern. The pictures do not do it justice! I called the company for a missing part and a very nice gentleman helped me and answered on the second ring. True to word he sent the missing part immediately! I will definitely be ordering again from this company!

I sadly won’t be purchasing from French Market Lanterns again. While delays are expected right now, poor communication and a refusal to make an effort to do better is not. My shipment was delayed multiple times and I only found out because of my multiple emails and phone calls where I finally got ahold of someone. When I did speak to someone they told me they would check with the manufacturer on my ship date. I asked them to call me the next day even just to let me know if they didn’t have an answer yet. The customer service agent said “they didn’t do that”. I asked if she could make it her personal task to call me with an update even if it wasn’t standard, just to turn my experience around. She refused my multiple requests for communication. I continued to call everyday, some days getting her back on the phone, some days not. She did call me once they finally had a ship date over a week later. I would have hoped for this company to go above and beyond with communication because of the shipping delays. I had to chase them instead of them chasing my continued business and positive review.

They are stunning. They make my kitchen look complete. They are beautifully crafted. I wish the company had a system to track your order though. I had to constantly reach out for status updates. The way they were packaged was a little nerve wracking too when it came to installation, shifting the glass to it’s correct position sometimes chipped the corners because of how well jammed it was into the frame. But overall, I am pleased!

The lantern they made us is gorgeous. I would say, to anyone ordering, is to pad the delivery time - it was substantially behind schedule (60+ days) but worth the wait.

The only improvement that I would recommend is to send out another update perhaps a week or two after the initial confirmation email. This update should just state that you’re still awaiting material from your supplier. Upon receipt you guys will begin fabrication and then prepare fir shipment. Once you prepared to ship the communication was excellent! I would’ve liked an update sooner but you answered my questions immediately via email. I love the lanterns, the ordering process was simple and your service was outstanding.

Sent me wrong lamp and then had me return it to have it converted and shipped back. Money to ship was out of pocket and communications were terrible. This mistake set me back weeks and cost me money with contractors.

Although the French Market Lanterns are very nice quality and design, I must leave a bad review based on my experience and customer service. I was charged in full for the lanterns I placed upon ordering them, even though it took over 3 months to receive them because I wanted them to be black powder coated. When they arrived, only the lanterns were black; the chains and bases for mounting were gold and copper respectively. One lamp didn’t work. I found it impossible to reach French Market Lanterns by phone no matter how many times I tried or how long I waited on line to speak with someone. I finally emailed and received a response after threatening to refuse payment on my credit card. I was sent black chains, but was told they only have copper bases. This was totally unsatisfactory to me. I had to pay my electrician to spray paint all the bases after having paid a significant up charge to have them all powder coated. No where on my order was I told that the bases and chains would not be black. I had to contact French Market Lanterns another time to get the replacement part needed for the lantern that didn’t work because they failed to include it with the black chains. For the price, this was the poorest customer service I have received in some time.

I have no complaints about my French Market Lantern, and can’t wait to have it installed. Our home is a certified replica of the George Wythe home in Williamsburg, so there is no lighting around the front door., which can be dicey for house guests at night. We got the black powder coated Jolie wall sconce (electric, sadly) and I know it will look amazing. There was some confusion about when our lantern would arrive. After inquiring, we received an email saying it would arrive the first or second week of October. It arrived August 31st. I chalked that up to possible employee shortages due to Covid and stimulus checks. We are nonetheless very happy with our lantern.

First of all I LOVE my new Lanterns for the front of our house. I ordered them in April but finally contacted them with out much luck to see when I might expect them. I finally talked to someone in August and they explained that there had been supply chain delays-a simple email to keep me up to date would have been most helpful! Again we love them but were very frustrated by the lack of communication!

To say my experience with this company was abysmal is being generous. My house is not done being built, I don't live there, I don't live in the state - and the house won't be ready for 5/6 weeks. I inquired about a custom order with these guys and was told that custom orders were running closer to 6 weeks. Fine - I could go ahead and order then, as the builder won't install any lights I didn't buy from them and I didn't want $1500 in lanterns sitting idle, unsecured, at an under construction house. I placed my order. The next day, I tried unsuccessfully to find a person to line up for installing them. So I tried to call FML to cancel my order (they have a policy clearly stated on their website that you could cancel within 48 hours). I say tried because I called many times, no answer or goes straight to voicemail. I emailed. No response. I left a voicemail. No response. Finally, the next day, after the 48 hrs had elapsed, I received a call back from FML. They claimed they had no record of my voicemail or my multiple calls. I was then told that I could cancel, but would likely have to pay the penalty fee as they likely would have gone to production. I said I've been trying to call since early yesterday - why would I be punished for an inability to contact you? The rep I spoke to, Mackenzie, said she would check with production and call me back. She called me back, promptly, and informed that not only had the lanterns gone to production, but that they had already shipped! I explained that this was unacceptable, she needed to divert that order - I could not take delivery because, again, I don't live there. She maintained her stance that I would have to pay the penalty for the production. Wait a second, Mackenzie - you clearly had these items in stock if they shipped so fast, nothing was produced (came to find out later that yes, they shipped so fast because they were in stock - so why would I have to pay a penalty then?). I was told they couldn't do anything to divert the shipment back to them. UPS told me to put a note on the door of the house to refuse delivery. Again - I don't live there so not sure how I would do that. Begged the builder to do it, they did. UPS delivered anyway. UPS wouldn't go back and pick up. FML basically told me to just have someone drop them at UPS then, instead of trying to get UPS to go pick them up again. Again - I don't live there. Begged an acquaintance to drive 45 miles to pick them up and drop them at UPS. Finally got my refund after they made it back to FML. Way too much work for something that I explicitly asked about the timeline of delivery on - and they showed up 6 weeks early. And terrible service to fix their own problem. Would recommend ordering only if you want a huge headache.

I love ???? my gas lantern. Put it on my mailbox. Really perfect for my 1924 cottage style home in Florida. A real show stopper!

Horrible company to deal with! I first was sent the wrong finish on the lantern I ordered after waiting on it for two months, which I was aware of at time of ordering. I was told to repackage the lantern ( not a easy job) and send all parts back. I had purchased a scroll top and was told to send it back which I did. When I received new correct finish on lantern -They did not return my scroll. Mailed it separately and it looked nothing like the first one they sent and had no hardware to attach it to the lantern. Received new scroll on June 1st. It is now July 19th and I still do not have anything to attach it with. I have talked to the maker and French Market Lanterns. I have even requested that they just tell me what to go buy to attach it. We are building a new home and we also have a gas stove, which means the gas people will have to come back yet again to hang this lantern. I have sent texts, called and no one ever responds. No one is ever available to take calls. The few times I have talked to someone they say they are taking care of it. I requested they overnight on June 1st. I never write reviews good or bad, but something needs to be done. I hope no one else has to go through this.

The lanterns are beautiful; however, I was under the impression that I was going to receive a handmade lantern from craftsmen in Texas. Imagine my surprise when they arrived and the box said “MADE IN CHINA”. We are building a house and they have not been installed yet. I’m sure they’ll be perfect...just disappointed that they were not made in the USA.

Love my gorgeous Luna lanterns - top knotch! However, one of the parts created a small propane gas leak when my installer finished - yet to be resolved.

During my online purchase experience, it was really hard to distinguish what which selected options ment what. For example, i believe it said filament something... i did not know what exactly that was... also, we actually wanted only one light in our lanterns not dual. I selected the filment option thinking it ment only one bulb option since there is a picture of a single bulb option if you swipe through. Wish there was an actual single bulb option out there as the duals line up with the copper lines and you cant even see the lights.

I am in the French Quarter in New Orleans. I have ordered about 10 times, multiple fixtures. I love the fixtures and they look and work great. My only comment is an odd one. When I call and order each time, there is never an acknowledgement or thank you for calling and ordering again. It appears I talk to the same person, but it is a very robotic transaction (but it isn't).

One of my lanterns arrived without proper mourning hardware. Thankfully I was able to rig something up for it but it doesn’t look as good as if the proper hardware had been with it. I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of returning and reordering.

We purchased the LED flame light, looks more like a Christmas light than flame. Fixture very high quality but not happy with Led, should have purchased candle light instead. Led really takes away from quality look of lantern

The lanterns are beautiful & of very high quality. I ordered 8 over a series of 3 orders. One gas lantern was sent instead of an electric lantern. I could not have been more please with the service provided in returning it and having an electric lantern shipped to replace it. The mistake caused me to incur an additional service call by the electricians of $160.00,

The Lanterns arrived quickly and were well packaged. I cannot stress this enough, the quality and craftsmanship that goes into making these lanterns is what you are paying for.
